Facilities on and offshore are exposed to a wide variety of risks, all of which require controlling to an appropriate level. Where risks are high, a commensurate level of rigour in its assessment is similarly required, typically achieved via Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA).
RJE Risk consultants have developed REQ1 and REQRA for onshore and offshore facility QRA. These tools have been used to assess numerous onshore and offshore facilities throughout the world. The software is Excel and Visual basic based enabling transparency & understanding of data, and ease of use on client servers.

REFlow© is a one dimensional steady state flow assurance tool designed for use in the process and chemical industries. Friction and loss parameters are fully adjustable to be consistent with all regulations such as NFPA 25. Flexibility is also key with integrated calculations to account for
- Pipe type, e.g. commercial steel or concrete lined GRP
- Knuckle radius of bends
- Hard and straight tees
- Restriction orifices
- Different types of check valves and other inline valves
- Control valve Cv
- Changes in elevation
Compressible, incompressible, and two phase flow can be modelled. Networks can be easily built up and easily interrogated to enable flow analysis and optimization.
