

Safety Case Thorough Review
Reg. 23 of the Safety Case regulations require a duty holder to perform a Thorough Review of their safety case on a 5 yearly basis. RJE Risk Consultants performed this assessment for a client who was could not provide the expertise inhouse.
RJE Risk Consultants worked with company Technical Authorities, asset engineers and offshore personnel to ensure all text was factually correct and an appropriate amount of information provided. Design standards and current God Practice guidance against which the facility confirmed were checked for new revisions and compliance. ALARP reviews were undertaken to ensure risks were still controlled adequately. Ageing asset issues were studied and a number actions generated.
Offshore visits were undertaken to ensure workforce engagement at all levels. Staff Safety Reps were consulted and kept informed throughout.
The Thorough Review Action List generate was agreed with all relevant personnel from actionees to senior leadership team through a number of workshops. An internal company Thorough Review Report was issued, and second Thorough Review Summary Report issued to, and accepted by, the HSE.
